I've not tried Tolkien fan fiction, and generally I'm not too impressed with tie-ins to classics. However, I did enjoy a companion to Pride and Prejudice, titled Longbourn. It was from the servants' perspective.

This one sounds interesting too.

I just skimmed a little of the fan fic Don’t Panic having not read it in a couple of years (I’m a notorious re-reader) and the first few chapters have a few f-bombs. The author apologized somewhere, below the chapter??
I know we’re grown folks but a heads up. It really is a good story.
