Great to find this site! Been so grateful for BYC - they have been invaluable. I got 10 ladies almost a year ago and they are happy campers on our acre of heaven on earth.
I've been wanting to add to the family and just like magic I got an e-mail recently from a friend about a young goat who thinks she's a pig who lives with a young pot-bellied pig who thinks he's a goat. They were raised together and are inseparable. AND they needed a new home.
So in four days they're headed to our house. I'm turning an old porch off our garage into the goat/pig shed with high hopes of adding some additional chickens in there soon. I've purchased no-climb fence, sunk what seems like a million t-posts into the ground (they're getting 3750 square feet of the acre - more than the house), and consumed a LOT of Advil.
Look forward to posting photos soon!
