A while back someone asked if anyone ever plays games w/ their goats.

I posted about the "just kidding" game I play, where I holler for them and they come running, thinking they're gonna be fed....and then I say, "Just kidding"...someone said they would like to see it, so I made a video of the game tonight.

(It's sort of my revenge on them for all the times they 'pretend' they're in labor and I make extra trips to the barn)

That kid screaming in the background is the orphan boy I'm bottle raising for a friend.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I showed three of my goats the barbecue grill in the past three days....each day a different goat was on the wrong side of a fence....different escape each time, too. I didn't say "just kidding," I said, "your choice!"

Are you sure someone isn't pulling that kid's ears off to make a La Mancha or something? Sure sounds like it!

Cute video 'cause you have cute goats. :) Back when I was in college, they taught us about deconditioning or extinguishing a response, which involves providing the stimulus and then not following up with the reward, so the animal unlearns the learned behavior. Seems like that's what you're doing here and if you keep it up long enough -- no idea how long that is, though -- they'll quit coming when you call. Or so goes the theory anyway.

That is awesome!!!!! I can't walk out of the house without them seeing me and running and screaming. There is no way I would even be able to play the just kidding game.

I only do it about once a month. I have a feeling I could do it one time a day and the fatties would still come a running...they do hate to miss a meal.

Roger, you have NO idea how sneaky I have to be to get into the 2nd barn w/ out the kids in the 1st barn screaming their heads off and 'warning' everyone I'm coming.
