Thoughts on COVEXIN 8 vs. Calgary 9 & other cdt

I used COVEXIN 8 for the first time as a booster for my goats, and my Lamancha yearling has a huge abcess on neck now the size of tennis ball. I always use Calgary 9 or another brand (very known, but name slipped my mind), but gal at D&B said they carry COVEXIN cause it's the best.
I'm really upset because I don't know whether to blanch it or leave it alone.. What brands do most of you use, and has anyone ever had this happen with this brand?
Suggestions on what I do with abcess? Will this type of abcess now be contagious to others?

We used Covexen 8 once and had abcesses on about half of ours
It wouldn't be contagious

I use the CDT from Duravet most of the time. I used Covexen 8 once as it came with a goat that I bought. I had no abscess but only doing one isn't really much to go on.
