I found my sweet Irish laying on the ground with one hoof caught way up in the top of the fence wire. Scared me soo bad!! I had let her young buck out to roam a little and once my does saw him, they got nosey and climbed the fence. I could not get it undone as it was wrapped tight, and had to run to get my father in law who's visiting in his camper. I knew he'd have wire cutters and could find them in a jiffy!! Anyway she struggled some and limped off after he cut her loose, and she's walking okay on it now. I milked her tonight and she jumped on the stand for me. I am going to have a pair of wire cutters hung on the wall in the barn in case this happens again. If he wasn't here I don't know what i would have done. Our tools are a tad unorganized. :/

I bet your were freaked! I would have been too. Glad she is okay. Reminds me of a friend's half-tailless cat. She came home to find her kitty hanging from his tail on the window sill. Apparently he had been sitting in the window sill and the the old thing slammed down on him and left him stuck for who knows how long but the vet ended up taking off part of his tail.
