Train noise and Stress

Hi everyone. I am new to this site and hope that this is the right place for this.

Here is my issue. I have been considering getting rabbits for quite some time now and have a quite large back yard and plenty of room for a large hutch. However, right along the back of my yard is a railroad track where a train goes by maybe 4 or 5 times a week. It crosses several roads right near my house and therefore has its horn going pretty much the whole time it is passing our lot.

My questions are; would this loud noise be too much stress for rabbits? Would the stress from this cause the rabbits to not breed or even worse kill their offspring?

Any insight to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I live right along rail tracks and they blow their whistle at the end of your property....except our trains come by 4 or 5 times a day, not week. Rabbits seem fine, have had litters with no issues and I am assuming they get used to it like the rest of us. I have had a couple goats that freaked at the first couple trains but quickly adjusted.

I would think that as long as they are used to it the trains wouldn't be a problem. I would wait to breed until they are settled.

I had a train behind my last house and even new rabbits adjusted quickly to it.
I don't see any problem with it. They get used to it.
