IMG_0021.JPG IMG_0024.JPG IMG_0020.JPG IMG_0026.JPG IMG_0010.JPG IMG_0010.JPG Ivy delivered like a champ last night, three in about 5 seconds, the third and smallest was kind of left out of the licking session, didn't seem to be warming up and was pretty lethargic. Tried several times to put her in front of mom but no go, so I bundled her up, milked out a bit of colostrum and brought her in to the house to warm up. She took the bottle quite well after about a half hour,( note the bottle, it's all I could find) but when I took her back out, Ivy would have nothing to do with her. Pushed her away quite harshly. The other two were up and nursing just fine. Milked out some more, brought her back in, went out again at 4 am but still wouldn't take her. Back in with more colostrum, and again this morning about 8 am. Have another bit for her but then I think I'll just go with regular milk. May try to graft her onto my mini fainter who has a single a week and a half old, and is not the "brightest crayon in the box" so it could take. Have to be away the rest of the day and evening, won't be home till late, but critter sitter will be here and will do another feeding. Have never had a bottle baby before, does this sound like a reasonable plan? The baby seems very content, is sleeping in a laundry basket, wrapped in a blanket, next to the radiator.

Well, she is definitely a bottle baby. No way was her mom taking her, won't even let her snuggle with the other two, so she's in the house for now. Drinking from the bottle with no probleIMG_0004.JPG IMG_0005.JPG m and quite likes to be up with me. And she is adorable of course.

M niece had a first time nanny kid that didn't pay attention to her baby. My niece gave it some milk by bottle so that baby had some nourishment. Her brother held the nanny a time or so and she would help the baby find the "spigots". The nanny loves her grain, so my niece sprinkled grain on the baby's back and the nanny took to her baby. I haven't heard anything more since last week, so I am assuming that she doesn't have a bottle baby.
