Ridin' The Range
These two guys were given to us. I am trying to find out what kind they are. This was right after unloading them so they are a bt spooked. The lighter of the two was a bit of a camera hog.
two minis joined the farm yesterday... What kind are they?

Have no clue what they are other than donkeys. LOL! How are the two guys settling in? Love the dark one. I'm more into the shy ones!porkchop48 said:

Yes, definitely donkeys (I doubt they're even a mini donkey crossed with a mini horse - that would have a little different frame than these guys). Regardless, I think they are ADORABLE and I hope to get one in the future if I ever have the chance! A great thing about them is that they are good "guards" for your farm and their "neigh" (yeah, that extremely annoying one) is known to scare off predators hence why they are great for farms!

They're just donkeys. Miniatures have to be 36" or under at the withers. If they're over that they're small standard donks.

I was not sure if there were different types of donkeys or not. I spoke with the previous owner and they are registered as minis.
The black one is definately less the 36" The lighter one I am pretty sure is.
They are starting to warm up pretty nicely.

Ok this is realy weird, but my neighbors have 2 donkeys, that both look exactly like the 2 you have!!! One with the "cross" on the back, and one with the 'mask' face. Both have the SAME colores as yours too! Lol, this is just weird! I hope you have fun with them, they are SO cute!!
