I got a 3 month old African Pygmy and a 3 month old Nigerian Dwarf approx 3 weeks ago...both are females. The Pygmy is a "lap goat" but the Nigerian is very standoffish. She runs away when approached. Any suggestions on how best to win her over? Should I chase her down and force her to be held, brushed, etc?

Offer her treats and if she won't come up to you to get them, give her some every time you catch her. Pretty soon she will start associating you with good things.

I have one that is rather skiddish. Once hes caught (I keep collars on) I tie him out and feed him treats. If Im not moving a lot and my little nanny is around me hell come sniff at me.
Now hes pretty good about letting me slowly walk up to him but any quick movement hes off like lightning!

Raisins and Carrots! That's how I got one of my youngest to come to me last year. Now he's obsessed with affection and paws at me each time I'm sitting down and not petting him!
