I am going to experiment with this a bit.
Since it is a food I think that it would be difficult to over do.
I read it is a great source of important minerals such as iron and copper and zinc plus a few others.
I'm also thinking if I do this I will never have to chase a goat down again lol.
Has anyone else fed this as a supplement to regular feed?
If so did you notice any improvement with your animals condition?

You have to be very careful with this because it is high in iron and iron can cause a binding effect with copper and other minerals. It is ok to use with the "oatmeal balls" ( includes oatmeal, kelp, molasses) as a needed boost after kidding and for kids born a bit weak as they nurse it comes through the milk and they fair much better. Especially kids down on their pasterns that are not necessarily selenium deficient.
The vet that gave me the oatmeal balls recipe does not recommend black strap molasses.

Yes, sometimes really frustrating. I love the "Source" (brand) Kelp, it is utilized by the goat much more than the regular minerals we can purchase. I have had to stop adding kelp in the minerals because Kelp is high in iron and we are off the charts here. I don't know you have seen the thread about the "Importance of DATA" but the mineral analysis we did showed us a great deal. High iron can cause issues too. :/

I don't have any experience with blackstrap mollasas that has not been distilled into rum.
When it comes to Dark and Stormies (blackstrap rum and ginger beer) I can tell you about those.
