Is this a big issue? I have one rabbit that seems to hit the water crock every couple of days, regardless of where it is in her cage.

When it happens I just rinse it out and refill it - should I be sterilizing it instead?

I'm looking at crocks with higher sides, but haven't found one I think is right yet.

Urine or fecal contaminated water or food or dishes can cause issues. Besides all bottles, I have extra water dishes in some of the cages so they can get a good long drink...I just keep extras and pull the dishes each day & replace with clean ones...so I only have to do their dishes & bottles once a week.
