Our goats that we got last month have never been vaccinated. One of them is pregnant but we do not have a due date on her as she was with the buck all winter. Her belly is growing but she is not huge at all and I have not noticed any udder development yet. Should I give the CD&T vaccine now, though I am unsure of how far along she is? And what about the kids when they arrive? Also, what is the proper dosage for a standard doe? Thank you so much!

Usually folks vaccinate about a month out before the kids are born. I vaccinated about a month into their pregnancies (shrug). I think you can vaccinate any time up to a month before the kids are due. I would take the first date your doe was with that buck and plan that she got preggers sometime within a 28 day time frame of when she was first with the buck. I'd ask a vet if it would be safe to do if that date moves those kids to being born in the next few weeks. Otherwise, I would vaccinate now. (Note, I am not a vet, so you should seek veterinary advice)

Kids get vaccinated anywhere from 7 to 21 days if I'm unsure about immunity. 21 days if the doe has been vaccinated. I repeat the vaccination about 3 to 4 weeks later.

Now, as for the dosage, it should be on the vaccine bottle. I use Bar CD/T and it says to use 2 ml dosage. Don't know if others are the same.
