Hi,
It seems the vaccines like Fort Dodge say to vaccinate 1 time, then again 2-4 weeks later.
So my question is do you need to buy 2 shots for each horse to be effective?
Every year?
The vet only gives shots once and doesn't specify to do them again in 2-4 weeks.
So I was wondering.
Some of my friends give their own and don't mention having to do it twice.
Anyone know?
Thank you,
Angela

That would be for the first time you vaccinate the horse (ever -- like, when it is very young, or if you buy a horse with unknown or likely-absent history of vaccination).

In future years typically you just do the once.
