I know you not suppose to use Valbazen for 30 days before th introduction of th rams or the first 30 days of pregnancy.

I am wondering about the following
A) how safe is it for late term pregnancy....I don't think I will do this even if it is safe.
B) Would worming with it after birth ( for the ewes) be advisable ...would affect the lambs through the milk?

Most of our ewes haven't been wormed for almost 2 years and their lids are starting to look a little pale.
Valbazen is the only wormer prescribed for sheep I've been able o find within a 60 mile radius.

I wouldn't use Valbazen til after the lambs are born. Premire One Supplies will ship to you. I have a link on my web site.

We also use cattle wormer Cydectin as a oral drench during pregnancy. It works real well

Call your vet, he will tell you that cattle wormer Cydectin Poor on is ok for sheep even if they are prego, 150 lb ewe should get
10-15 cc, Give this to sheep orally, We use it and it works great, Safe for prego sheep too.

You can order Cydectin that is labelled for use in sheep from Premier.

I don't de-worm my pregnant ewes unless they really need it, even with the "safe" dewormers. What we try to do is de-worm each ewe right after she lambs.

That's what we will end up doing I believe.
