I have r a few vax I'm going to give the goats. Should I spead them out over a few days or would it be okay to give them all at once. (Pinkeye, CD+T and Pasteurella each in a separate vial)

They all seem very healthy right now and I'm eager to get this stuff In them before *something* goes wrong.

I have a doe with milk and her doeling (Born around Dec 10)
1 Buck born Nov 30
1 Doe born May 2010

I know I ask a lot of annoying questions, we've just had so many things go wrong and I don't want to do something wrong.

I only do the CDT. But I wouldn't do all shots in one day. I would put a day or two in between so if you do have a reaction, you know what they are reacting too.

The goats have had Pinkeye numerous times and one has had Pneumonia, which is why I got the other stuff.

Soon as hubby gets home, we will start vaxing them.

I have vaccinated goats! Yay!!! I did the CD+T today. I think I will do the Pasteurella in a few days. I don't want to run into that monster.

One thing I might suggest, in spite of my novice status, is to keep a "goat calendar."
I bought one of those daily planners at the dollar store and I write everything down concerning the goats.
I've learned from experience with my other critters, that I THINK I will remember when I did what to whom, but I don't!
You going to need to give booster vacs and you'll want to know when they're due.
I also find it helpful for worming dates and what I used, along with any other issues I might have.

When vaccinating it's always best to give them ALL in one day, or space them out at least 3 weeks apart.

May I ask why that is?
Due to the immune response of each vaccine, if you give one a few days later it's not going to have the full effect. I can't remember the exact terminology (I'm having a rough time at the moment with other things) but maybe someone else can help me out. Our vet always says to give all vaccines at once or do them at least 3 weeks apart. Something about the immune system not paying as much attention to the second vaccine as it should. That's a really basic explanation, but it's all I've got at the moment.
