We just moved to a new farm and I found out that the water is RICH in calcium. Can it affect the calcium/phosphorus ratio and cause urinary caculi? TIA

Excess Calcium DOES NOT CAUSE UC!

It is phosphorus and magnesium, an excess of these is the main factor in UC.

However you still want a balance.

I think that the water could affect the Ca ratio but I am not sure how I would fix it. I wonder if there are inline filters that could help. However the high calcium actually helps reduce the absorption of the P and you can go as high as 4:1 with the calcium so it may be better that the calcium is high and not low.
