What about this cross?

There is a fellow at the farmers market selling wild hog/pot bellied pig crosses for $20 each.

What do you all think of the cross, both for taste of meat and speed of growth and adult size?

Am quite tempted as they would be our first pigs so their smaller size would be a BIG plus, as would their cheapness.

Any ideas on their temperment as well with that mix?

I don't know anything about pigs but I would be concerned about the wild hog part. I saw some documentaries on Discovery Channel about wild hogs and they are aggressive and mean.

No pickies but imagine small mat black piglets. Proper shape but very small.

Quite cute and he said they would mature between 180lb to 240 lbs.
