OK. Husband picked up this bun last weekend. I think there is a long spot behind the ears and the ears are a wee bit long to balance the depth. I have not measured her ears or weighed her yet, but I think she is a big gal. I am thinking broken castor?

if i remember right MR ears r not to be over 3" or when u fold ear down over head its to be shorter than the nose. from pic i'd say it is a broken chocolate but if lighting is off broken castor. does it have ringbands when u blow on the brown fur or red triangle behind ears? if no it's choc.

I think I'm seeing ear lacing, so I agree with broken Castor. As big as that one looks, I'm thinking False Dwarf, so everything would be a little long. If you can learn to recognize good type in a false dwarf, they can be very useful in a breeding program. They never have peanuts, and usually have larger litters, so you have more chances of getting good ones. They seldom have kindling problems, either. You can't show false dwarfs, of course, so you do need to learn to tell them apart at an early age. Some people call the big girls "brood does," the false dwarf males usually just get called "pet quality," lol.
