Could be a cross, but my bet is pure Holstein. The reddish coat is from the sunlight and genetics.

Yea looks like a holstein, and agreed that it looks reddish brown from the sun fading the coat. If he starts to grow horns, then its definatley a hosltein. If MAY be a beef cross, but generally the beef crosses have hardly any white.

reminds me a lot of the holstein -swiss crosses we'd raise that leaned towards the holstein side. course considering your location I'd probably say Jersey as I think they're more common down there.

He looks like a holstein best way to tell I think is if there is Jersey in them they tend to have the white nose ring or the black hooves. This guy has an all black nose and all white hooves.

Nah, he's not a pure Holstein. He's not black, he's got lots of brown tint. Plus, his switch is almost all black and Holsteins always have white switches. :)
