What is the purpose of making mix breeds?
Mini rex are very popular around us, not hard to get one to raise purebred for. Only rex coat to rex coat will result in 100% rex. Three breeds have a rex coat, Rex, mini rex and Velveteen lops. Velveteen lops have been attempting to pass ARBA COD requirements for over 20 years, they have one more presentation to go. Their coats still aren't the quality of our mini rex in our barn. They are good but to get rex coat on a non rex breed takes years and years.
