I placed a deposit on a couple of LaMancha doelings. This one was born on Monday, April 16th. She's pretty, but an odd color. What would you call it? Dam is solid white, sire is black with a white belly band.

Looks like a chocolate swiss (black & tan)...but are her eyes blue? I don't think blue eyes occur in any dairy goat other than Nigerians? Is she %?

I suppose, she could also be an abbreviated buckskin...she would have been chamoisee had it not been for the light legs and facial stripes.

so, could it be possible for one of my Cali's kids to have blue? where she is a Nigerian Dwarf/Pygmy cross? or does the Pygmy % pretty much cancel any chance of blue eyes.

Either Cali or the buck have to have blue eyes in order to get blue eyes.
gotchya, wasn't sure if it was a dominance gene thing, where one could essentially carry the gene without having them themselves, or not.
