Good Morning,
Newbie to this board! I would appreciate any guesses on what this little buck is crossed with. I raise mini-Nigerians and Mini Manchas, and I recently acquired this what I think is a gorgeous little buck. When I say gorgeous, I'm sure to show judges his rump would look steep, his pasterns weak and all that...but I acquired him from an older gentleman that used him occasionally with his also Mini Nigerian herd, and was moving to assisted living and selling his herd. He wasn't stacked, he is very rutty right now, and of course he isn't trimmed. The man was a neighbor and much older and didn't know what he was crossed with, but I have seen this buck do his job, and so I know he is proven. He produced gorgeous babies with beautiful faces and this same pretty hair coat. It was not his main herd sire, but he was so well cared for that he is absolutely kid tame friendly even with children. I plan to keep him even if I don't use him because of his disposition. So anyway...any guesses on this cute little guy, with REALLY big horns?? lol

Maybe crossed with a Pygmy as wide as his chest is and how his horns grow straight up at the same angle as his face. I have seen a great deal of Pygmy cross goats in my lifetime and he looks like one.

I have seen multiple cross goats and from the looks of it I would Pygmy/Nigerian cross we have a fixed doe who is one but you can tell by the none dished face yet still sturdy stockish legs and doesn't have the real bony high hips.

For anyone wondering the doe is fixed because she accidentally got bred to a boer buck and the kid got stuck in the birth canal and died so she wasn't able to have kids again so we had her fixed. :hitThank Goodness she is still alive from that.
