One of my black belly ewes had a lamb last friday.
She went off feed and water for around three days and acted weak.
I was able to take her temp and she had normal temp.
So I gave her some probiotics and assumed a wait and see.
Tuesday we noted she was starting to eat some. She is much better about feed now. But we are now seeing that she has runny poo.
I'm concerned that she is not able to provide enough milk for the lamb.
I was thinking more probiotics and a shot of vitamin b complex. Does this sound like a good course of action.
The lamb seems very int. in drinking water from the trough. Also looks thin. Not sure how quickly after birth I should expect the lamb to plump up.
Any suggestions much appreciated
