What to do with excess goat milk...

After about 6 days in the fridge, Goat Milk becomes a tiny bit "goaty" tasting. So, this week I tried my hand at soap making!!

I made three batches of soap, and this is what I got...

Here are some close ups of some of the finished soaps

I bought most of these molds at Michael's.

These small candy molds came in handy for the little bits of soap from each batch that wouldn't fill a whole bar mold.

I only had one problem. The embossing stamps I bought, had one where the design was not in reverse.

Of course, I didn't notice it until I unmolded the soap!!

I contacted the company that makes the stamps, and they are sending me a replacement. They were very quick to reply. I was impressed!!

I am working now on a label for my soaps, Here is one idea.

My MIL would love you haha. Everytime she visits she throws all our Dove bars away and replaces them with goat milk soap.

They look awesome! I'm amazed at people that are able to do things like this...I hope to be able to as well over the next few years. When I retire I want to have plenty to do to keep me busy.
How long does it take to make the soap? I havent actually checked out any recipes yet because I dont have any goats in milk yet. Is it easy?

It isn't exactly "my" recipe. I got it off the web. I used this recipe
(there are TONS of them to choose from!)
