So my 19 year old OTT gelding has cribbed his top teeth to basically the size of human teeth and now is starting to lose his bottom teeth. I have separated him from his girls and have put down free choice timothy hay for him 24/7. He gets one of those big scoops of senior and one scoop of strategy twice a day as well. Any other suggestions of what i could add to help him gain back the weight he has lost?

A soaked beet pulp gruel works well. when he becomes a complete gummer, you can soak the other stuff too. You can buy hay cubes and soak those as well.

i used the beet pulp and timothy pellets mixed and soak to make a gruel, its especially good to use a alfalfa or timothy stretcher when hay isnt as great of quality as your horse may need. i also use canola oil too, or you could try a weight supplement.
