This weekend I noticed that when my female rabbit urinated, there was a white substance in it. It wasn't anything like worms or anything like that. It had more of a "thick cream" texture. I did some research and everything that I read indicated a possible urinary tract infection. I will have to take her to the vet for more testing.

Anyone seen anything like that in their rabbit's urine?

I've had several do that and everything I've read/seen/been told is that it's just the elimination of excess calcium. If your really concerned or if the rabbits seems to be in pain then I'd call your vet. A lot of the vets don't know about rabbits though so I'd ask about your vet to see. My vet is good with horses, alright with dogs but doesn't want to see rabbits or birds because he doesn't feel that he knows enough about them.

Thank you for your input. I appreciate you taking time to respond.

There aren't any vets in my area that see rabbits, so I am trying to find one. I am reading, reading, reading about rabbit urine and I read about the extra calcium. I'm nervous. My rabbit is not showing any signs of pain, being uncomfortable, etc. And she is her normal self. She is eating and drinking. I will keep an eye on her until I can find a vet who knows rabbits.

Thanks again.

As long as she isn't in pain and is acting normal I wouldn't worry.

Sometimes they will have red urine as well. Perfectly normal.

Thank you so much. Sending a big thank you hug your way. I have been a nervous wreck all weekend. I will keep an eye on her while I look for a rabbit vet in the event things change.

Thanks again for your help.:)

I have seen that a few times, and I do think it's excess calcium. A vet told me one time to give distilled water to my rabbits instead of well water because we had too much calcium in it.

I can surely pick up some distilled water for the rabbits. So your rabbits had the same thing? If so, how long did it last?
