Who has Standard Rex?

I'm interested in them. I have no rabbits now but have had them in the past I'm in Dobson, N.C. and would like to find some close hopefully in the state. a buck and maybe a couple of does may also be interested in a Flemish Giant to cross with

Have you talked to your local extension agent? Or maybe tried to find a rabbit 4-h group? When I started looking for rabbits again I actually wanted standard Rex's but had a horrible time finding anyone who had them, from what I understand they are fairly rare though not yet on any rare/endangered breed lists yet...If you want rabbits with lovely coats I would suggest American Chinchillas or Satins, both could be used for meat as well if that is also something you are wanting them for.

I have not but I will look into it I did however find a breeder listed in the eastern part of the state doing a web search and have e-mailed them but haven't got a replie yet
