Will aluminum last ?

I am building wire cages and want to support the bottoms. I have some aluminum extrusions left from some other projects, and wondering how they would hold up to rabbit urine. Have any of you used aluminum, and if so will it last, or is the rabbit treatment too much for aluminum?

Not affected by it.

I have used aluminum flashing as cage dividers. While it doesn't rust out like steel, it is still affected by rabbit urine, and will deteriorate with time.
