I have a ram lamb that is separated from the flock of ewes.
In his poop yesterday I saw a single worm (before the guineas ate it).
His eyelids are pink and he looks healthy and is eating well.
We're starting to get rain now, so the worms are out in full force.
Is this worm in his poop cause for de-worming?
He WAS wormed (once) a month ago with Cydectin when we first got him.

If you are seeing a white worm on the poop, then he has tapeworm or round worm. Cydectin does not take care of that. You would need Safeguard or Valbazen. I'm not sure what the dosage or length of time is for sheep though. If you are seeing worms, then you do need to treat.

One of my lambs recently pooped out a bunch of tapeworms. Gross. After reading up on them, I discovered that tapeworms were the only visible worms in sheep. That's what I read, take it for what it's worth (internet fact or fiction). I also read that tapeworms do no damage to sheep. It's the nasty buggers you can't see that are the bad ones! I wormed my sheep with Valbazin, nevertheless, after I saw that disgusting display.

I just wormed my dogs, too, after realizing they are out there eating sheep poop, lol. :sick :sick :sick

I know what you mean.
My dogs often times wait behind the sheep's rear end waiting for the choice nuggets to fall. :sick

But I 'heard' that dogs and sheep do not share the same parasites.
Does this mean the sheep's worms won't affect the dogs??
That's what I'm thinking.
