This morning was chaos. I didn't get gate to home acre hooked securely when I went in to let everyone out of night pen. So Leonidas decided he could explore the home acre. Bruno and Biscuit took exception at top of their lungs. I caught Leonidas and led him to paddock under escort of barking duo. THEN, Bruno decided HE could explore the paddocks. Leonidas took exception to that and there was a snarling fur pulling mess before I got Bruno on correct side of fence.

I hope no one was trying to sleep in.

Quick update on Leonidas' leg injury. It is almost completely healed up and I think the fur is coming back. Crazy to think he's only been with us for 3 weeks.

Ugh, puppy drama. Leonidas decided Draco cat MUST be dangerous. He came thru fence between paddocks and home acre to confront Draco. From the puppy yipes, Draco put him in his place. Hera stayed in paddock and issued sharp short barks at Leo. Pretty sure they translated as "You idiot! The cat belongs and get you butt back over here NOW!" 😆

Draco is fine. Leo has minor scratches to his nose and was quick marched to timeout pen with a stern "MY CAT! MINE!". He can cool his heels tonight in boredom. I think he got the message.

So Leonidas passed a unexpected test. I thought Oreo wasn't pregnant since she was due before end of March. So I wasn't worrying about keeping him separate once Peggy lambed.

Oreo surprised me with a ewe lamb yesterday. Leo was super concerned during labor then licked baby clean. He ate the umbilical off even with belly and licked after birth hanging out Oreo. I got home as quick as I could and put Oreo in smaller pen. Everyone is alive and doing good. So not perfect but acceptable response.
