Hello everyone!
I'm trying to look up the current owner of my Nigerian Dwarf bucks dam on ADGA to contact them & get some photos of her, but when I look her (or any goat) up, the breeder/owner information is blank. Do I need to have an active membership?

Thanks for your time, baby goat pic for tax!

No. ADGA's software is useless for that. You'd be better off looking her up on planned pedigree, seeing what herd name her latest kids are registered under, and looking up that herd on FB and finding their business page and contacting them there.

Hi,

How can a prospective goat buyer effectively research and connect with a breeder to inquire about purchasing kids, if the ADGA software does not provide the necessary information?

Thanks in advance!

You should probably start your own thread but here's the best answer I can provide.

Check local classifieds including craigslist (but be careful for non-ethical/honest breeders, of course) use Facebook sales groups, Google breeders in your area to find their websites, find local dairy goat shows. Make sure they have a good reputation and disease test at least for CAE/CL/ and Johnes and are happy to share transparent results you can match up with their herdbook and as always keep an eye out for other diseases as well any time you bring in new stock.
