Wanting to do long runs for my rabbits from their individual cages into a community run so they can come and go as they please
Got all my poults back in a row... Lol. I recommend that NO ONE use metal water dishes for turkeys

It hardly ever happens, but if you put electrolyte mix or antibiotics in a metal water dish it can cause a reaction (from my understanding it has to be a certain metal) and can cause canker. It was in his throat, so I didn't even see it when I opened his mouth. I never even thought canker because I was changing his water and giving him said mixes

I swear I have the worst luck with my turkeys. If it is rare and never happens, it will happen to my turkeys. We always pull through, but they are the definition of 'Murphy's law'

My phone wouldn't let me comment before now. Helpful anyway thanks for sharing that, we raise turkeys and I've passed it along to my husband so it won't happen to ours too!

I've been having to separate and rearrange the chickens and quarantine the turkeys, turkeys had to be dosed and I lost my bearded hen who was fine the night before. And one of my hen poults. We've been having bad luck with hens

Sorry to hear of these issues.
I think you are dealing with more than MG. MG typically doesn't kill the birds. We have worked with some of the top people regarding MG and were one of the very few that were authorized to use the vaccine. We opted not to use it. We actually had a test MG- flock.

We discontinued the testing due to the likelihood of having a false + and that it could shut down our farm for months. Add that with it being in roughly 80% of other flocks and wild birds are + it was a big risk. Your birds that you are treating will remain carriers for life and can spread to to your new chickens.

New doe, Elsa, had a baby on the cage floor last night and it didn't survive. Now there's one more HOURS later in the box with no fur pulled
New doe (hopefully pregnant by a different buck), a healthy new litter of four, and Thumper has NO idea what to do with all the females! Lol
