    Your jacob ewe will not do any harm to anything, except maybe a new sheep you introduce her to and only then would it maybe try to set its place in the pecking order with a few headbutts. Male Jacob rams are the only ones to worry about, they could kill eachother if two mature rams are together...

    Here she is, this is why i love the jacobs...they breed all year long, cylcing every 21 days until they are bred first time mom with her baby, very protective and instinctive mothers. walked out and there she is. no help needed like all the primitive breeds.

    To answer your question about the horns....NO! they dont use them in a bad way. in fact i prefer them to handle them it makes them 10x easier to catch and work with. Handles for sure. Get some!

    Jacobs are more ornamental, not commercial as you describe your setup to be. I am focusing on a small herd of maybe 30 breeders and showing the best lambs. The culls will be meat with improper horns and markings.

    yes the better the markings/wool/horns the more money they are. Breeders often give discounts to people who want to promote the breed and bloodlines. I plan to sell mine around 300$ for showing and wool purposes. They are a really cool breed to raise. i enjoy mine alot.

    i raise jacob sheep too, and althought i donot have any lilacs, i know what it is. they are just a tad lighter were the black would be. some people like them and keep them to breed but i like the blacker spots. Thats the only difference
