Currently I have Lionheads, and I am considering getting some mini lops as well. We do have a big lop, but he is just a pet and has been neutered. :)

So what's the difference between breeding quality and pet quality?

Say you did buy show quality rabbits. How do you determine what quality THEIR offspring is? I assume that not ALL of their babies will be considered show quality or even good breeding quality, but how do you know the difference?

How do you determine if your kits are show quality, breeding quality, or pet quality, and how do you price them?

I have read that feeding fruits and/or veggies every day is bad for a rabbit, but then I have also read that it's very good for them to have the fruits and veggies every day. How often do you give fruits and/or veggies?

My kids named all of our current rabbits. We have a lop named Floppy, a Lionhead named Sox, and an unknown breed named Apple. Our buck that got out was a Lionhead named Cinnamon. I have picked 2 kits from our current Lionhead litter to keep, but I have yet to name them. How do you come up...

Scratch that last question...after some more reading on my own this morning, I'm thinking a Himi would be my best choice. (But someone please correct me if I'm wrong!)

So would I be better off to get a REW or Himi to breed with my Sable Point?

These babies are only 2 weeks old, and I'm just learning how to sex them as well, but right now I am fairly confident in saying that my sable point is female, and my tort is male.

I'm pretty new here too but wanted to say welcome! I have always wanted a farm but live in town. I just recently took on the hobby of raising rabbits (as pets, not food) though. :)

Yay!!!!!! Congrats on the new babies!!! :) What kind of rabbit do you have? I'm definitely not experienced in this, but I would think if you have a larger breed rabbit the kits would naturally be a decent size.

Well, I got a call from someone else interested in the same bunny just a little bit ago, and she said she could be here within an hour to pick up, so I told her they could have it. (It's a friend, and definitely someone I trust to take care of the baby, so that makes it even better!)
