A horse could hurt itself in a round rubber padded cell...if there is enough space, the problems would be less likely to happen- a horse and a cow can be kept togehter just fine...
You would probably be better off to not let anyone keep anything on it- both are rather destructive, and if you still plan on haying it, then they would need to stay off the grass from late fall until after the grass has been mowed...
How do you know these heifers were not freemartins? I can see th organic farm being honest,etc.. but buying one from an individual, auction,or ?? I was always taught hat any dairy heifers were kept on, and brought up to be replacement heifers(and around here that is true) so any dairy heifer...
They will be banded this weekend, and then will either end up in our freezer or someone elses.... But before that happens they will be hugged by our daycare children, enjoy life in the sunshine , go to school for famr day, and probably make the 4th of july parade...after that, they make good...
Nope- bull calves. Around here the dairys all hold onto their heifers- unless they are freemartins...That is the only time you will see a dairy heifer for sale...
