That is one of the moves I'm doing every other day. I have tried doing it daily but that isn't happening.
It has been obvious that there is no reason to be anything other than patient since it isn't going to change anything.
PT was pretty positive today. My therapist talked to me a bit as we were starting and we were switching over to more strength building but since there is no strength in my arm that leaves a lot open to interpretation. He did tell me that today would be the most painful to date and I can...
We went and had lunch at the truck stop about a mile from our house. This place always had really good food and we ate theree quite often until it got pretty much destroyed by fire a couple of years ago. They finally got it rebuilt and opened a little over a year ago but we only tried it once...
Up until today, the PT was mostly passive but we switched over to more serious muscle rebuilding mode this morning. This whole experience has really been humbling but the constant pain is mostly gone so I can take a bit of humble. I have lifted weights for almost all of my adult life and in my...
I had a post op visit with the ortho doctor this morning and had the staples removed. Everything looks good and he said I'm right on track for full up status. He even said I'm good to cut grass now but only on the zero turn which is a good thing with our recent rains.
We had light rain off and on all day and got a little over an inch. I had a section that had a good bit of Perella mint that I hand pulled before it dropped seed.
The best part of the day was Teresa cooking moo goo gai pan and pad thai for supper. :)
I was with USAA for over 40 years but we switched to Farm Bureau since we needed farm and equipment insurance that USAA couldn't provide. Overall cost was lower for more insurance.
We had a light rain earlier today which we appreciate but we saw huge cells get almost to our place, then turn away to the northwest but we are happy for what we got.
We got the settlement from the auction sale and was pleased to see that the sheep we took in were even higher than the highest...
I had my second PT this morning and the therapist has my arm feeling like it did the day I had surgery' He seems really good and is happy with the progress;. I see the surgeon to see what he thinks Monday
No lifting at all until the Dr clears me for more. There are a bunch of fairly passive exercises that are to keep the scar tissue from attaching at places that can cause a problem, There are several directions when moving the arm that tells you it is too early for that. The pain overall is WAY...
I was surprised at how little pain I had in my shoulder for most of the day so I wasn't taking anything for pain. About three this afternoon I started to feel a bit of throbbing so took some Tylenol and it seemed like I caught it in time before the nerve blocker completely was gone. They sent...
We are home now but the meds still are affecting me unsteady on my feet but everything seems to be at a good place. I can't say enough good things about the staff. We have a small rural hospital but I have never felt better about the treatment that I was getting, and they went out of their way...
We got everything done with the sheep this morning that needed to be done. We have two rams that we are going to keep for breeding and only kept two ewe lambs to keep with the flock. There is a half dozen ewes that are beautiful but they won't be kept due to their size. Sheep like these...
We have been watching Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime and it is funny. I'm not a big fan of British humor so it often lacks in what I consider real funny but it is entertaining. A lot of what the star is going through are things that a lot of us relatively new farmers have also gone through...
We finally got some rain today that totaled right at 3/4". I would have liked more but I'm happy with what we got. There have been a bunch of days in the last two months where we watched weather cells get within a mile or two from us then break up without giving us anything.
We are going to...
