When I was brushing Maisy a few days ago, I noticed that she had another hot spot starting. We already had the topical spray on hand and an appointment to get her hair cut today so this was timely this time (although it's never cheap).

Tonight was a night that happens every six months with Sirius XM and Teresa shows her negotiating skill. We have XM in our ram that we have had for a little over four years now and it only has 6,000 miles on it since it only gets driven 4 or 5 times a month or it does the occasional vacation...

We have only lost power a half dozen times since we bought our place almost 10 years ago. I have said that I spent most of my adult life in Florida so I have gone a couple of months waiting on power so I don't gripe here. :)

    Farmerjan's journal - Weather

We had a nice shower today but all of the cells started to break up as the sun was going down.

Power was only out for a little less than an hour and a half so that's a small price to pay for a good rain.

We had a thunderstorm come through q short time ago. Our power is out but at least we finally got a little less than an inch of rain.

I am pretty sure that we are going to send our dumbest ewe to the market. This ewe was born while @Baymule and BJ were here but she has gotten more stupid by each year. We feed the ewes for usually about three weeks before putting them in with the ram. I go out every morning with enough food...

Corn around us is probably not going make much of anything. We have had this for several years now but this is the earliest that it started. We have our ewe numbers down to 32 so we can handle that even if it stays dry. We just rotate more until we have start feeding hay. :)

Just like the majority, we need some rain but there is none in the forecast. I think I'll go out and spray some herbicide tomorrow since we almost always get rain when I do that , no matter what the forecast is.

All I can say is that it is hot. Temp tomorrow is supposed to be 105. Rain would be nice so I am moving the sheep to give the grass a break. I have been sitting here watching the Republican Convention and found it interesting but I won't say anything else that isn't allowed on here.

I kind of ignored my right shoulder until it got to the point that I had to learn how to use a fork in my left hand to eat. :) Either way, it is on the way to get fixed. :)

    Baymule’s 2024 Lambing plus 12-23

I know that is hard to handle.

Another reason is that if they just did the repair, the arthritis that I have in my shoulder would still be there.

We spent half the day at the ortho doctor doing the prep to start the process for getting my shoulder replaced. I'm scheduled for the 20th of next month. He gave me the option of getting the rotator cuff or the full shoulder but when he told me recovery time was six months for the rotator cuff...

We have gotten calls several times from buyers to talk about sheep that they have bought from the sale barn but we released our info so it works for us and the buyers and they have some idea what has been done to the sheep that they bought.

We got the check and results from the Monday sheep sale. Prices for the lambs were really good and I was pleased to see that the cull ewes and all of the ewe lambs were sold to farm accounts, so they have a future.

Today was low humidity and pleasant so I got most of my mowing done and Teresa and Igot about two hours of weed eating done, I'm mowing the minimum since it has been so dry. We moved the ram labs out of the small holding pen into a much larger paddock and they are having a ball. There are 8...

We appreciate the little things. We just found out last week that we can watch Swamp People on our Roku so we have been binging at night. :)

We have been so dry that I have only cut enough to feed the ram lambs.

Thank you, Repatha is the one I'm getting. I wasn't sure of the results since everything I found to read about it so far showed it getting good results when used with a statin.
