All I can say is that it is hot. Temp tomorrow is supposed to be 105. Rain would be nice so I am moving the sheep to give the grass a break.

I have been sitting here watching the Republican Convention and found it interesting but I won't say anything else that isn't allowed on here.

Sorry you are not getting any rain now @Mike CHS ... We were so dry, and not sure this is going to save all the crops that were so hurt, but hopefully it will help to save our pastures, and maybe help our hay fields. Some of the corn is already tasseling out and 4 ft tall, so farmers will be hurting on some... but hoping that there will be more to go around this next week.

Corn around us is probably not going make much of anything. We have had this for several years now but this is the earliest that it started. We have our ewe numbers down to 32 so we can handle that even if it stays dry. We just rotate more until we have start feeding hay. :)

I am pretty sure that we are going to send our dumbest ewe to the market. This ewe was born while @Baymule and BJ were here but she has gotten more stupid by each year. We feed the ewes for usually about three weeks before putting them in with the ram. I go out every morning with enough food for about two pound per ewe and as I go around and add food to all of the spots, she just follows the bucket, expecting to have it all herself. Teresa fed her separately for several days but I can't play that so she either eats what I put out or she does without. If she doesn't get in condition to be bred, she will be a sale..
