Tonight was a night that happens every six months with Sirius XM and Teresa shows her negotiating skill. We have XM in our ram that we have had for a little over four years now and it only has 6,000 miles on it since it only gets driven 4 or 5 times a month or it does the occasional vacation trip. Sirius would like us to let them auto-bill since they would get $156 every six months which we won't let happen. Just about the time the auto-bill is going to happen, Teresa starts working on canceling the service and after several emails back in forth and a few chats.... they drop the bill from the $156 to $54 for six months. That is still fairly high for no more than we drive that pickup but I enjoy it, especially since we usually have it on when we are on the road.
My husband has Sirius in his F150. This is what he does every year when the billing comes up. It’s a racket.

Personally, I do not like the Sirius platform. When I drive the truck I switch to regular FM. (But sadly, it gets lousy reception so it skips half the stations when I search for one.)

Maybe since they expect people to use Sirius, they don’t bother to put in good antennas.

We have had a couple nice spells with some light but steady rain. We have had a little over 2" in the last four days but it has been the same so it all got into the ground rather than running off our rocky hills like it does in a storm.

Our weather patterns are fairly consistent but this time of year, we pretty much stay about two weeks from a drought. The weather trends around us are fairly predictable and if a weather front moves over Huntsville, Alabama, the chances are we will get some moisture. Most of the time, if a front comes in from Memphis or northwest Tennessee, the chance of us getting any is a little less than 50/50.

I haven't had to cut grass for over two weeks but as soon as it quits raining, I will need to do some. I set my mower deck at 4" or higher so the grass doesn't burn up as fast if the rain stops for an extended time.

I'm posting a picture of one of our garden beds that is nothing but flowers and plants that the Monarch butterflies like. I spent several years eradicating Milkweed and Teresa is encouraging it but I can't gripe since it is a beautiful garden bed. It is self seeded after the first year but it sure is pretty. I'm not sure how I copied the cucumbers but they are growing like crazy.

We did go in to the PT folks that I'll be working with after shoulder surgery. They were very professional and didn't torture me too bad. :) They did show me several exercises that are a bit different than what I'm used to. Pretty simple but obviously needed since my not using my right arm is causing some serious loss of muscle mass. Actually, I guess it has been several years since I could claim much mass there. :)

I hope she has a mild case of it. It does seem to have weakened, but neither of you have had it up to now, so y’all don’t have any antibodies against it. They have a better medicine for it now that knocks it out pretty quick. I hope she gets better soon.
