This week I have been preoccupied with the devastation in my state, NC, and have been posting less. I'll be back more. Soon.
In the meanwhile here's a picture of Priscilla checking out her first pumpkin:
Prissy is 4+ months old.
And that's Zacchaeus giving me the eye.
Right here?
@Support
Would you move this thread to the Journal area?
And can it be retitled "fuzzi's Gardens and Chickens...and Goats? Oh My! Journal and More Thread"
?
fuzzi is not Capitalized.
Thank you.
As of today I have my estimate and COI (Certificate of Insurance) for two tree services, will be scheduling the clearing of the downed trees, which is the FIRST step in my goat plan.
Is it too soon to start my own journal thread? :caf
Chicken Update
Priscilla, one of the pullets, checks out a pumpkin I placed in the run area.
The young'uns: Joanna, Silas, Esther, Priscilla, with Zacchaeus at the bottom. Zacchaeus is almost 6 months, the others are 6 weeks younger.
Silas needs to be rehomed, come and get him!
The three...
We're eastern NC, got a couple good downpours, no flooding. It also was breezy but I don't see any branches down.
I recognize roads we've traveled when damage videos and photos are posted.
And this is my current canine Cleo.
Her best bud, Debbie, is in the box.
When I had to have Tirzah (my GSD/Lab) put down I wanted another dog asap. I saw an ad for an older dog on one of the rescue sites. Cleo was 7ish, and was listed as dog, cat, and chicken friendly!
She came home with us...
My dh and I saw it in the theater, excellent on big screen with big sound. Good screenplay, superb acting by most, some humor, lots of blood...and naughty bits, too.
I still like it. Merlin (Nicol Williamson) was da bomb.
Sorry for the thread derail...

I need a snake grabber tool. Well, maybe only for the Copperheads, I haven't seen any rattlers here. We get just about everything else. I've removed two or three rat snakes from the chicken area, by grabbing the tail.
The Copperheads get the long-handled pruners treatment.
At work, finishing up cup #3. I stop imbibing caffeine at 2pm, so I need to chug the rest.
Creating evaluations, updating call schedules, confirming interview appointments...will I be doing this in a year...?

I had a GSD/Lab cross that was the hardest dog I'd ever trained. I have puppy tooth scars on my forearm, still. At about 18 months something clicked and she became the Best Dog Ever. I miss her.
I could have walked her without a leash through a flock of sheep and she wouldn't have done...
