I rode my green broke, in training, Arab gelding bareback & bosal. We had some fun times! :love Wanted a saddle but no $....spent what I had to buy him. Worth it. Eventually, I got a saddle -- still rode bareback a lot.

Boiling water on their nests....then salt. I've seen so, so many nests this year -- big ones!! Never before in the 25 yrs I've been here. And those little black things bite fast & hard. Takes several days to clear the bites up.... benadryl & antibiotic salves some days, a chewed plantain...

@canesisters put 4 corner stakes in ground and wrap some plastic or old sheet on them. Like a mini greenhouse. Might look rough but should allow them to ripen. Look for large, clear yard trash bags to staple on the posts, etc. you can bring the fruit inside once the begin to turn. Yes...

Any temp? If so, usually something else --summer pneumonia. Cocci -- SMS tabs (sulfer meds), Toltrazuril, corrid. All by mouth is fastest/bestest. 😊 You need to get rid of the bad stuff magnet!! 😱🫂

My butternuts have always stored well. Too many? My chickens love a fresh veg winter treat 😉 so I'm happy with extras.
