    Pretty Close To Perfection

I don't believe he was actually here in person but the interview was via phone. Rarely can I remember web addresses when I hear them on radio or...

~ A friendly reminder about Daylight Savings Time ~

I don't know if this happens everywhere, but the local Amish folks do not observe daylight savings time. No time change for them.

Geese, which breed? *update with pics*

Let me clarify one thing for you. "Generally" most geese have a very protective/guarding side to them, BUT that doesn't mean that all geese, even known aggressive breeds, are the same. There are always exceptions to the rule, much like there are with all animals. It's more the nature of the...

    best way to dry off

I'll tell you what I did/do and how it has worked. I have two first time moms that kidded twins at the end of May. Their kids were raised naturally with them, meaning the moms fed the kids. They were never separated from their mom, even at night. Fast forward...the two wethered boys are gone...

Check this out: http://www.agnet.org/library/pt/2003019/ I didn't find any information concerning toxicity for goats. Is the hoof on that goat deformed or just in need of trimming?

    Putting weight on

If you don't have access to fresh, or have the time to prepare, shredded beet pulp will also help. You can buy this at your feed dealer. Some soak it, some do not. I do not and my goats love it and do well with it.
