    Rex Kits

Thanks @Fuchsia, I've never seen the mother groom them, only the kits have been grooming each other, alot! All four of the kits fur seems stuck up at odd angles - I hope now that they are hopping out of the nest box, nibbling food and hay that this over grooming will stop and their fur will...

    Rex Kits

Here is a photo of my bald kit - the bald patch isn't inflamed, the kit isn't scratching it and is eating and drinking as normal for a 3 week old. Does anyone think this is just over grooming or should I be more worried? I looked back at a photo I took 10 days ago and the kit wasn't bald then.

    Hello from the UK

Hi @Baymule, We are using the manure on our allotment - it rots down very quickly! I like that they are quiet as I don't want my nosy neighbours knowing what we are doing. My only fear is that when butchering day arrives I won't want to kill them! I remind myself daily that they will be our...

    New Zealand buck breeding/behaviour issues

Thanks, I'll wait and see if my doe is pregnant and then maybe give this ago. I really don't want to freak out my doe so maybe a more experienced buck would be better.

    Rex Kits

I've just done a quick search and wondered if it might be the kits over grooming each other? I've watched all four of them licking each other for several minutes

    Rex Kits

Yes they are still in with their mother. The mother seems fine - no fur loss. There are two other kits and they are fine as well.

    Hello from the UK

Hello Everyone, I'm so glad to have found this forum. Only had my 4 Rex rabbits and my 2 New Zealand Whites since the summer. I'm sure two of my Rexes are pregnant and I'm hoping my NZW doe is too. I did have a litter nearly 3 weeks ago from one of my Rexes - she had 4 kits and they have...

    Rex Kits

My Rex kits are nearly 3 weeks old and I've noticed today that two of them have very thin fur on the top of their heads - I'm not sure if I should be worried or not. What would cause this and should I be doing anything to help? Sorry, I think I posted this in the wrong place

    New Zealand buck breeding/behaviour issues

Hello, I'm fairly new to breeding rabbits for meat - only had my first Rex kits a few weeks ago. But.... I need advice concerning my 6 month old New Zealand White buck - Each time I have put in my 5 month old NZW doe he jumps around biting her, tries to do the deed any which way and misses...
