Indeed...just reminds me to go do other things. ;)
Tho I was in the middle of a post when it shut down,
luckily I was able to copy and paste,
in case the draft function doesn't recover it.
Not sure anyone here is also there...but got error message below and not able to get back on.
Have gotten this before but not in a long time and it usually was momentary thing.
I suppose I should just be more patient and wait for them to clear up a host issue,
but was wondering if anyone else...
Y'all know BYC is back up and running???
....except for pic galleries and maybe a few other aspects.
Here's the link to the home page:

Had a great time on this thread during the hiatus...great tips and camaraderie...Thanks!
That first pic can't really see comb well...doesn't look like rose or single....mix maybe?
Second pic, great example of Wyandotte rose comb.
That cockbird sure does not look like a Wy, comb pr plumage color...might be a Wy mix.
That what I'd call the offspring, Wyandotte mix.
Comb that pale at 7 weeks. ...I'd say pullets.
Just hatched some BCM....blue and black tho, chicks are a mix of face, leg, and down colors..some feather legged, some not. Am just looking for dark eggs tho.
I don't think they care at all, tho there's been some bantering(all in good fun).
No sense in blaming our discomfort with the new software on the BYHer's..
I actually think BYH numbers dropped when the software changed,
I know other forums I participate in have....
....and I'm betting BYC's...
You don't need to heat the birds, but it's really nice to heat their water so it doesn't freeze.
Then you can just top it off each day.
Unless you are going to put substantial run roof framing up, I wouldn't count on a tarp to hold the snow load.
I'd strongly suggest you go with a solid run...
Sounds like it could be.....or an impacted crop, which often happens before it goes sour.
Crop is on the right side of their chest/neck.
It's not contagious.
Crop can get impacted if they eat too much long strands of grass etc....or body is not processing food properly.
How old is bird?
Are...
Yeah, pretty sure they are done, first one pipped on Wednesday. Actually think low humidity thru incubation was part of the problem, due to shrink wrapping I saw on assists. Used a clients incy for these last 2 hatches and had very varied air cell growth, made it hard to adjust humidity. Had...
11 chicks hatched....abysmal hatch rate....would be worse if I hadn't 'helped' 4-5 of them.
2 of 5 OE, 8 of 15 Marans, 1 of 12 EE.
Not sure I've got it in me to open all the unhatched eggs for clues to figure out why they didn't hatch.
Glad I only hatch a batch or two once a year...tho maybe I'd...
