Ok. I can def do 3 frames each with brood and honey. I think I wilL have to buy a queen, or hope there are queen cells present. Will do an inspection tonight. Do you have a recommendation of where to buy a queen from? Is this a good time in the season to do this? Thanks! Alicia

Hello all. I am thinking of splitting a hive.....but instead of splitting one hive, I would like to take a little from 2 hives and combine them for one new hive. Has anyone done this? Is it possible, will the bees get along? Thanks! Alicia

Sorry delayed reaponse. The bees were there, just dead. :hit I will check in with her thanks! I did save the frames, in the garage - cold and protected. Will move to freezer. Do they need to b covered with anything in the freezer?

Went to check bees today and found they had died. I checked the whole hive and found plenty of honey but no brood. :( Found some mites...I don't think they were the problem but not sure? So I cleaned it all it and saved all the honey I could. I have some questions on how the comb looked...the...

Hello all. I'm pretty sure one of my does is about a month pregnant. I just noticed this morning that one of her kids from last year is nursing from her. She had stopped for about a month. Is this going to cause problems for the doe and the new babies?
