Alfalfa, clover, peanut...etc...are all excellent hays and darn near a requirement for dairy animals. Feeding a good hay means feeding less grain, which is a win/win.
Be sure to open a sample bale of the clover hay and look at the flower heads, check for mold in the flower heads and...
Sorry I missed this, RBF. I call it taupe. Generally when her sire produces this color (the same color he was as a kid except with dark points, which his breeder called brown chamoisee), it turns gold by the 1st birthday. I HOPE she stays taupe, but I'm not holding my breath either!
Bella kidded with triplets by MCH/CH/PGCH Fire Flame! Two bucks and a doe.
Her buck kids we kept from the first breeding to Flame both were awarded their restricted legs this year with very limited showing and did great at Nationals. I should probably retain the doe!

Yes, good choice. My goats LOVE clover hay...love it love it. The hay we grow is actually alfalfa/clover/orchard. Good stuff. Clover is very difficult to bale well, though, so beware if you're buying that it was cured properly.
You need to do more research on Deccox and Rumensin before you make your decision on feeds containing them, and understand that it's not the amount that kills bucks but rather the feed itself (if you're feeding the right feed and hay, you can feed it all day).
Adding ACV isn't doing any good...
No need to apologize for being a newbie...but...
I didn't realize you were feeding that to a buck. How old are they? That is definitely not a good diet for a buck...and she's going to get bred (I'm guessing that was your intention, though).
A sudden exclusion of feeds isn't generally a...
My point was, forget the BOSS, alfalfa pellets and Calf Manna...just get them on creep with the Noble Goat, and you'll see an improvement in 2 weeks...maybe three.
Go back to basics, see what happens, and edit from there...
I can just *tell* after so many kids. Head shape, swirls of hair...it's pretty obvious when you've gotten to observe so many baby heads.
Bobble, the head-down girl...she is FABULOUS. We retained her. After a month or so of PT on her neck and loin (she was also windswept through the hips)...
Please look into a different brand of goat feed. Dumor is one of the worst quality ones out there IMO. TSC should also carry Noble Goat Grower...a much better choice. I don't like sweet feed for goats either, as a ration. I do use it on the stanchion, but that is the only place. I don't...
I stand behind what Nicki is trying to get across here. I don't CARE what color my goats are, really. They could be yellow polkadotted purple...as long as they milk and show. "Color Breeders" are a bit of a joke in the goat world (and the horse world, for that matter). I get emails all the...
I'm a little behind here.
