I planned on reselling her eventually but an absolutely perfect family lost their only baby goat and her mom this year so she and her baby are now with them
Yes, I plan on keeping her for another year or two and probably retaining one of her doelings next year to replace her eventually
I’ve had her milk before (I knew the previous owner personally) and it is DELICIOUS
New breeding buck (rabbit) is here! His mom is a purebred Red NZ and his dad is a Chestnut Agouti NZ. He is a beautiful, unique mix of both and is almost 'cinnamon' colored without the black accents. Pictures to come!
Coming from someone who hand raised over 300 of my own chickens (we have around 300 currently) in homemade coops and rinky dink shelters this coop is over the top and a little dramatic in all the fancy technology. And for $2000?!?! Heck to the NO THANK YOU.
Next doe is due May 1st so pretty soon! I went ahead and shaved her (Josephine) because it’s very hot here lately, here’s before and after udder pics and a nice belly pic lol, how many do y’all think she’ll have?
Yes, it was a little ‘goaty’ tasting the first couple of days because she was by a very stinky buck for a short time (don’t worry, he did not breed her and shows no interest in breeding at all right now because he’s new to the farm) but now it’s ok
