Ridgetop - our place and how we muddle along

The filter DS1 installed on the well did not work as well as he hoped. Needs to get a better one. However, he was able to estimate the well at 10 gpm, which is more output than the city water. LOL PT today and was sad to see that I have lost ground on my knee due to the Covid and no PT for 3...

Hopefully this new doctor will be able to do something for DS. Having the injuries divided into 2 separate claims might be a good thing. :fl

That is such a funny age - when those fat bodies look too big for the tiny little legs sticking out! Too cute. :hugs

I was very strict with the nurses and DH - DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO GIVE DH ANY MEDS TO KNOCK HIM OUT! Was able to get in touch with Diane Stephens - Boxer breeder - and she knows of 2 litters in process of being bred. One is hers and the other a friend's. DS2 and DS3 very happy since they have...

Back on line finally. 8/23 DH still feeling bad, got up around noon and said he couldn't walk. Told me to take him to ER. Took him to St. Joe's in Burbank instead of UCLA. Big mistake. 8 hours later the ER doc showed me his chest x-ray with pneumonia clouding up half of one side. They...

The trick with pain killers - per a surgical urse friend - is to take the over the counter stuff about half way through the heavy duty pain killers. As you come down off the heavy duty stuff the OTC stuff helps to mitigate the pain unti time to take the HD stuff again.

When DS2 and 3 were nursery school age I used to take them with me to drop off the dairy does for breeding. She lived in Ramona which was an all day round trip. While the buck owner (and breeder of our * Nubian milkers) and I chatted, my 4 and 5 year olds had fun climbing up and sliding down...

The journey into the abyss of no return

I am surprised that Pooch didn't drive off the visiting dogs. If one was a female in season that could be a reason not to chase her off, but an Anatolian that allows strange male dogs to enter his property is unusual. SSS is best method to deal with them. By the way, barking Anatolian is...

Something to consider though depending on location you are in. Years ago, before we closed it in, the rain would blow into the barn and saturate the rabbit cages. We had about 7 yers of wet and floodig weather. I got onto the milk shed roof (the barn roof overhangs it) and hung canvas tarps...

DH has come down with whatever bug DS2 and his famiy had while in Minnesota. They caught it here since DS2 got off the plane and went straight t bed with flu syptoms. It went through the family while back there, but Nicholas had a fever when he came home. DH succumbed last night with...
