Well total we have 15 acres but its mostly wooded. We are planning on fencing in an acre this spring. Currently the only thing we have fenced is a really big back yard. That is where they all are now. (Six including buckling, wether, 2 yearlings, and 2 adult does)
I am looking for someone(s) who is interested in splitting 500lbs (10bags) of non GMO 16% goat feed in the Muncie/Anderson area. It will be coming from Central Indiana Organics. Maybe take turns picking it up and splitting the cost of gas? I am wanting to go pick some up next week if they can...
For a ND and mini nubian buck? I have my ND buckling and a companion whether until I get my mini nubian buckling in May. I need to fence off a seperate section for the two of them. How big should I make it so they don't eat everything and it becomes a mud pit?
10 week old buckling seems to be eating and drinking fine maybe a little bit of constipation. He is weaned and eating hay grass and alfalfa pellets with grain. Should I give him antibiotics and of so what kind?
I'll try to find a Pic. I used to have the same issue with my ND getting into the coop. I built something that allows chickens to get thru but not goats. BRB.

This kept out a young ND wether as well.
I would def treat for cocci. I had the same issues with my 8 week old buckling and the di-methox is what finally firmed him up. I also gave kaiolin and electrolites until I was absolutely sure he wasn't scouring anymore.
It's not so bad. I was nervous the first time I did it too. I put them on the milking stand and give them some grain. The younger ones that are too small for the stand I just hold in my lap. I pick out all of the stuff caked on then clip sides, front, and backs. Then I use a drimmel to smooth...
Him and his wether were getting free choice alfalfa for about 2 weeks now maybe 3. I'm treating with di methox and have taken away everything but hay and water. Oh and he's almost as big as the wether who was much bigger than him when I brought him home. So I think I'm going to start taking him...
When I got my NDbuckling he was two weeks old and only getting 2 bottles a day 12 hrs apart. He's always only gotten the two. More smaller feedings are better but they will do just fine on 2. Now he is 8 weeks old and down to 1 20oz bottle. just stopped giving him the second one. So he ate a...
My mini Nubian is also my loudest goat. She is out there screaming her head off "AHHHHHH". Like someone is trying to kill her. It is hilarious! unless I'm trying to sleep and she's underneath my bedroom window.
He is in with his companion wether who was a little bloated. So, I put the baking soda in there for him really.
My plan was to keep him on the Di-methox for the five days and if he was no better then take sample to vet.
