Cowboy Shirt So Far (PIX on #5)

Well, needless to say it didn't get finished for his birthday. I procrastinated tooooo long... I redesigned the pocket flap to be different than the pattern. That was not so bad, then I had to redo the pocket, and of course the pockets are the first part to be sewn. I have it all cut out...

Cowboy Shirt So Far (PIX on #5)

Ok... here goes, for years my husband has asked me to make him a cowboy shirt. His bithday is Aug. 5th. I have all the stuff now to make the shirt. (I have had it for weeks actually) I am just not confident in putting on snaps and doing all the top stitching, to say nothing of having it fit him...

    Just Hanging Out (PIX)

On Saturday morning when I let the dog out, this is what greeted me... Just waiting in the Pine tree over the chicken coop (do you see them?) Here they are close up. I am glad my girls are all secure! These hawks are not afraid of humans or dogs. They just sit from their perch in the...

    Wading Pool Tomatoes (PIX)

One is a Cherokee Purple and the other is called Celebrity. it is suppose to be good in the heat. There is only one tomato plant per pot. I suppose I could thin them out a bit. It will probably be fall before any fruit really sets. If I can keep them alive for the worst part of the summer, by...

    Excess goat kids

hmm, I was just thinking there is probably not much meat on a dwarf type goat. Anyhow the ones I have seen don't look like they could produce more than a few good "soup bones". One year I purchased a butchered goat from a local Middle Eastern Grocery. It was about 35 to 40 lbs dressed...

    Wading Pool Tomatoes (PIX)

For years and years I have tried to grow tomatoes. And it is so hot and dry here that they are never very happy and don't produce many tomatoes. This year, I came up with what I am hoping will be a solution to the extreme heat and lack of humidity. What I did was put my Tomato Plants in a...

    My Poor Mini Roses!! (PIX)

This morning when I went out to the front yard, I found my new mini rose bushes at the base of the birdbath... had all been completely stripped of their leaves! Here is a close up of the damage. I figured it was the Dreaded Leaf Cutter Ants that have been a problem in the front yard...

Possible relocation, or loss of job....

Funny, when my uncle retired my aunt said "I got twice the husband at half the income!" He is the type to keep busy for the most part. We enjoy doing things together. I would love to have a farm, he says he is too lazy for that kind of life!

Possible relocation, or loss of job....

Thanks! I know my husband doesn't want to move to SC. I like adventures! But, dread the thought of packing up this house where I have lived since 1980!!

Possible relocation, or loss of job....

It is finally "official" my husband's company is relocating the entire North American Manufacturing to Florence, South Carolina. Within the next 30 days we will know if we are "invited" to be moved. The office here has been "support" for a manufacturing plant in Mexico. But with the continued...

    Getting Organized (PIX)

At Costco this week I got some plastic boxes that worked perfect for organizing photos. I had many photos in shoe boxes, and every time I wanted to make a card, or post a photo, I had to search though 100s of photos to find the one I was looking for. Now, I will at least have an easier time of...
